Re: how do you price for local sale?
I checked eBay for completed listings in North America and all that was there for Pretty Tweet was a change pad and a washed BeSpicy with a hole that sold for $50 plus shipping.
The HoboBe never came in Pretty Tweet did it? Was that bag even out a year and a half ago? That's the one I wish I had, and in Pretty Tweet. :p Even though I don't need a diaper bag anymore as this child bolted out of diapers at 16 months, I want that HoboBe as a purse that has pockets for toddler stuff!
The HBB came out after PT was retired. You might be able to find a mama on here that would trade your BFF for a HBB. Have you seen early sunrise? It is a nice grey color pattern. HBB is a perfect toddler bag/purse!
How did your little one potty train at 16 months?! That would be awesome! Tips pls
I don't think I can trade on here, not enough posts. But would have been an awesome idea. I do like the sunrise pattern. I also like the Shadow Waltz which is totally different than the Sunrise. I'll have to ponder about which one will suit be better.
As for the training, basically I use cloth diapers (all natural fibres not the ones the microfleece or suedecloth ones that keeps baby feeling dry) and change after every single pee from birth. Even at night. My mind has me convinced that this gets my kids to never get used to being wet although perhaps I use that for justification for being crazy enough to change diapers at night
). We co-sleep though so that made the night changes not so bad. Once they can sit, I stick them on a little potty after naps and in the morning, not more than that though. Although my third child, the one that trained at 16 months would NOT sit on the little potty and would hold it for an hour after she got up just so she wouldn't have to sit on it!
Basically though, I take a week and have them walk around the house naked. I keep a little potty right near, so if we move to another room, potty comes with. And I keep a close eye. As soon as they start peeing, I swoop in, pick them up and stick them on the potty to finish. There ends up being a bit of pee on the floor the first couple days, but I've always had hardwood so super easy to wipe up. After a couple days, they seem to understand what's happening and will either point at potty or say pee when it's time to go and I swoop in again. After that, they seem to figure out to walk to the little potty and sit down to pee. I eventually move the potty to the bathroom.
With this child I did it younger than the other two, which was at 22 months for each of them (couldn't do it earlier with them as I waited until I was home on vacation and had a week at home). The difference with this one was that if I put panties or a diaper or anything on her butt, she would pee in it and not tell me she had to go. So I stayed at home with naked butt for a bunch and wore a diaper if we went out. Most days she didn't pee in the diaper when we were out, but if we were out long enough, like for several hours, I'd get a wet one. I think it was beginning of June (17 months old) I tried panties again and she was fine in them and has been wearing them ever since and we haven't used diapers out either. She tells me she needs to go and I just take her to a public toilet and hold her on it.
She's 19 months now and at night I'm still using a diaper on her but most nights doesn't wet one. She wakes up around 6am fidgeting and groggy and I take her to pee and she goes back to sleep. And she's still nursing a ton at night so I have no idea how she holds it! I get probably one wet diaper a week that happens early morning if I didn't feel her kicking me and fidgeting.
Not sure if any of that is helpful, but maybe there's something in there you can use! It was a little slower with this one than my other two, likely because she was so young. But I had the opportunity to be home with her so I was fine with it. I just wanted to not have to take diapers camping in a couple weeks!
I have seen a couple BFFs on facebook bst recently listed around $130ppd for US shipping, if that helps you at all. Pretty tweet isn't a high demand hard to find print, but it is a favorite
Thanks so much! Which FB page is this?
